Anatomy of a Logo

I am always amazed by what Jennifer (our art director) is able to do.  I thought you might like to see where we started to what we ended up with as the final blog logo.  There was a slew of different ideas for the cover of the magazine – but I will save that for another post!  I will also see if I can dig up the various stages of the Green-Ass Bride and Groom logo as well.

This first take came from a very general email-just throwing some ideas around.  Since she was not aware of how adamant I am about only using floral designs from actual designers we know – she used this stock photo image (was not a fan).  I opened the email and was so confused.  She apparently did not get my other 3 emails after my 1st general one!  So funny!

Then I got these next logo ideas until we decided on the logo you see at the top of the blog page. I actually loved all of them – but I just felt the the pink and orange colors did not fit.  I also can just make a funny confession that green and blue are the colors of my life.  My wedding was blue and green, our home is full of blue and green colors – so that is probably the real reason why I could not marry myself to the orange and pink colors (I tried).
