Helene + Matt’s Spring Wedding at Pleasantdale Chateau
Wouldn’t you love to be able to say – “Oh yes – I had my wedding at a Chateau!’? Well – you can – right in New Jersey!
We were thrilled to see this submission from Rita Rojas-Sullivan Photography showcasing just a beautiful and simple wedding set at the Pleasantdale Chateau.
Before I go into how this event was eco-friendly – again – we have some wonderful shoes. Had to show the shoes first which are just so yummy. We are hoping Helene wears them again or passes them on to another lucky bride as something borrowed!
This gorgeous bridal bouquet was created by veteran floral designers Marquis Florals & Event Design by Kim. Kim Lovitt, who is the head designer, is an active volunteer in her community and gives back to several local charities. (ASK WHAT YOUR FLORIST IS DOING FOR THEIR COMMUNITY!)
Just a stunning ceremony arch by Marquis on the beautiful grounds of Pleasantdale!!!
Pleasantdale Chateau is home to the Pleasantdale Farm which produces thousands of pounds of produce every year (pesticide-free). They are also home to an apiary! The Chateau has its own restaurant and uses its own produce and flowers from their farm for events and weddings!

Congrats to Helene and Matt on their gorgeous wedding day!
Have a wonderful Holiday Weekend Everyone!

Katie + Jade’s Eco-Gorgeous Marin County Wedding
We always love it when shoes are as cute as they can be on the bride or the groom! Starting off this week’s wedding – we could not resist focusing on these lovely Ferragamo shoes that Katie will treasure and wear for years to come!
These beautiful florals, as designed by La Fleuriste, were just eco-gorgeous!!! The groom’s lapel (with teeny echeveria) was so dapper paired with Katie’s bridal bouquet comprised of artichokes, cymbidium orchids, echeveria and sprigs of Jade!
The bride and the groom were intent on having an eco-friendly event and had the ceremony and reception at the bride’s parents home in Marin County, CA. The chuppah was made from wood from Jade’s land in Grass Valley and built by a friend. The centerpieces prepared with echeveria were planted with colorful pebbles from a local beach.
Love the use of echeveria here as well with the cute cake topper!
An absolutely stylish and green event from head to toe!
Congrats to Katie + Jade!

Laura + Joel’s Rustic Ranch Wedding
We love this charming and rustic wedding submitted to us by Andi Hatch Photography! Set in Muir Beach near the Bay Area in CA, their secluded ceremony (right on a cliff overlooking the Pacific) was absolutely breathtaking!
Slide Ranch is a non-profit that provides programs and summer camps to over 8,000 Bay Area residents! From learning about farm life and gardening to understanding all about the sustainable use of natural resources, this place could not be any greener!
Love this casual portrait of them in their flip flops!
All of the food was produced locally or right from Slide Ranch!
The sunflowers for her bouquet and centerpieces were mostly from Laura’s own garden!
This rustic wedding was complete with one of Slide Ranch’s Yurt for their reception and blue grass band, The Stairwell Sisters!
What a wonderfully Eco-Beautiful Day!
Congrats to Laura and Joel!

Andrea + Nick’s Wedding on Mackinac Island in Michigan
We love this intimate wedding at on Mackinac Island, Michigan submitted to us by Paul Retherford! One of the easiest ways to keep your wedding eco-friendly is to keep it small! They only had 24 guests!
The beautiful wedding ceremony and reception were held historic Island House Hotel. Their simple and beautiful floral designs were designed by Weber’s Floral Design!
Using reusable candles made with seashells for centerpieces were an easy, simple and low impact decor item for their eco-chic wedding. The bride and groom were whisked away at the end by the island’s beautiful Gough Carriages!
Congrats to Andrea+ Nick!
