When Jacob + Christin from We Heart Photography contacted us about Abbey + Richie’s wedding, we were blown away. It was as if they planned their wedding just to be featured in our magazine. We really had a difficult time choosing the final photos for the editorial, but glad we have the blog to show you more! The Epoch Times
We are pretty thrilled around the EBW office about our feature in The Epoch Times both online and in print. We blogged about the online article…but thought you might want to take a look at how we made the front page of the paper and the front page of the Life & Leisure Section!
When our Editor-in-Chief Katie Martin tweeted these pages – we got so many views – we wanted to make sure everyone had a look as it was a full newspaper article.

Katie’s Christmas Present
Well – I don’t know if it’s because I am obsessed with Dewey the dog or I just want to give Dog Fancy a run for their money…but this is the cover that I wanted for the winter issue!
I asked Jen, our art director, to make this cover for me as my Christmas Present as “the cover that never was”. Obviously no other wedding magazine in the world would ever do this (hence the fact that Robin would not let me choose this photo as the cover). Of course, Chelsey (our cover girl) really brought some glam and fun to the cover! I can’t help that Dewey has mesmerized me!
I can’t take credit for this photo at all either. Jennifer Hughes, the amazing photographer behind the lens, is the one who had the idea of bringing Dewey on the scene in the first place! Oh – how I love thee Jennifer!!!
Well – I am off to run my last errands before my son and I join my sweet husband in the Dominican Republic for a much needed vacation with family and friends!
I hope you enjoy my Christmas present as much as I did and see you in the New Year!

Anniversary Party + The Cotton Bride
On Wednesday we celebrated our Anniversary with Style!
Chris Kole unveiled his new Fireflies Collection from The Cotton Bride at our party! The new collection is amazing and complete with airy designs that truly let a woman be herself on her wedding day! This particular dress is one that really stole the show!
With so many dresses and eco-style, we had a veritable who’s who from Washington, DC & New York! From the folks over at the National Wildlife Federation to the Executives of Chevrolet rolling the new Volt and Cruze over for our guests to ride in – there is simply way too much to talk about! We plan on doing a juicy recap of the event in our Spring Issue of Eco-Beautiful!
A special thanks to Chris Kole and Fikre Ayele of The Cotton Bride. Chris created Katie’s (our Editor-in-Chief) chocolate gown for the evening and she (in her own words) “has never felt more glamorous”!
Our new managing editor Robin Fisher was the glue for the entire fashion show! Working closely with Chris Kole and Fikre Ayele to make sure the models and the dresses shined! Washington, DC has never seen such a beautiful fashion show!
