Editor’s Pick!
Win this gorgeous journal from Dewdrop, Inc. as seen in my editor’s picks!
I am curious to see how many of you actually sketch items for your wedding and to hear how you would plan to use this beautiful work of art for your wedding planning process!
Let me know here and you could win it!
I will pick the winner on August 2nd!

I started by making sketches of my engagement ring then found a wonderful jeweler who was able to use them to make a one-of-a-kind engagement ring and matching wedding rings. I am planning my wedding long distance so sketching out my ideas is a great way for me to envision the final product.
My wedding notebook has random sketches of rings, dresses, flowers and invitations. It also has rambley thoughts scrawled in the margins and quotes that I want to incorporate in the ceremony. All of these bits of papers are falling out! A little sketch book would keep all of these ideas together, and organized!
I have always had books and books full of sketches and full out drawings for my wedding. I have ten different ideas for invitations, colourful pages of bridesmaids dresses, collages and drawings of hair accessories, and even fabric drawings for the men’s bowties!
Nothing is better than a fresh new notebook to paste everything into, and keep everything organized. As the date gets closer, I would use this adorable book to narrow down and finalize all of my ideas, and use the final product in executing a fabulous wedding!
I have been engaged for just over a year now and have just finished my first wedding note book. Its full of my own sketches of dresses, flowers, and reception ideas. It also has pages and pages dedicated to colour. I love being able to write and draw my random thoughts and ideas. If I didn’t have my note book I don’t know how I would remember this amazing process of planning my wedding. So now I am in need of a new one to help me keep all these special memories together. Thank you.
I already have a blank sketch-book that I’ve been using for to-do lists, sketches, and pasting pictures of things I love, etc. for my May 2011 wedding… it is not close to full yet (and I hate wasting paper), so I will likely keep using it for that purpose. If I were to win this beauty of a journal, I would likely gift it to my maid-of-honor. She is an artist and jewelry designer (and my best friend), and this would be a great, thoughtful gift where she could put her ideas. So, though it wouldn’t be part of my planning, it would be used in the wedding in a way!
I use my notebook for a little bit of everything. At the beginning of our engagement, I sketched out what I would like my dress to look like. I use it to write down websites I see listed for either inspiration or services, paste clip-outs from magazines and newspapers in it, takes notes (such as a rough list of guests and budgets), just about everything.
The biggest thing is I use it to follow through on a sort of tree of thought. I have one vague idea, then I sort of draw out from it – see what ways I could incorporate it to be greener, or less expensive, or more crafty/DIY. Say the guestbook, for example. First I thought of just using recycled stationary, then purchasing post-consumer paper and binding it myself, and somehow I’m now thinking of using river-rocks signed in porcelain pen to use in my garden. The evolution of ideas, you never know where it will lead you!
I have always sketched and would use the notebook to put together all of my ideas, colors, and notes for the wedding. I have a year to put it to good use!
Oh wow! This fits my wedding so well! I have the leaf design on the cake sketch I’ve drawn. The color matches my colors! This is perfect! I’m totally buying if I don’t win! Of course, I still need to sketch the layout of my seating…the table decorations…pretty much everything, LOL!
I would use the journal to keep sketches and ideas for my daughters. I have two 17 and 19. We have thrown many eco friendly parties, and we all agree when the time comes for either to wed, we will dig out all our saved sketches and ideas and have fun creating the eco friendly wedding of their dreams. I will continue gathering inspiration from them and sketching so when the time comes we can pull out our journals and get to work.
How wouldn’t I use it? There are so many reasons to have something like that notebook! Not only to sketch ideas, but have on hand for what ever inspiration strikes my fancy, whether it be a color swatch, or a flower that should be pressed! Then, after the wedding, it is something to look back on and see where the inspirations carried the BIG DAY!
All I do is sketch, sketch, sketch. It’s how I think and live. I don’t go anywhere without it. I’m close to filling my current sketch book and would love to be so lucky to start new with such a beautiful book! I’m actually getting married really soon. A sketch book would be a great day to chronicle my new life with my future husband!
People deserve good life time and credit loans or term loan would make it better. Just because people’s freedom relies on money.
