Cocktails with a Conscience

Each guest at your wedding will have four to five drinks, and whether your wedding is for 50 or 250 guests, that can add up! So, it’s still important to consider what’s being consumed…and the impact it makes.

We all know that plastic bottles of water (even though they are recyclable) are the opposite of eco-fabulous. If you must have the look of individual servings, go with glasses filled with tasty organic soda or pre-poured and sweetly garnished cocktails. Remember that filtered tap water is as pure as any artisan brand (not to mention it’s free and sourcing it is much easier on the environment).

Just about any mixed drink from a Mojito to a Sidecar can be green. While building your bar or planning swanky cocktails, think seasonal. Request organic alcohol, mixers, and locally sourced ingredients – we promise your guests wil never know the difference!

  1. I wholeheartedly agree! Your guests won’t notice the difference, but you’ll definitely have a clear conscience. I’m a big fan of signature drinks (I have an entire book dedicated to the subject, on my website) and I think that making your drinks more ecological is a decision that will make a huge difference. Just think about all that potential waste/excessive trasport deferred!
