To Have and BHLDN

The most anticipated bridal launch of the year is finally unveiling on Monday! Anthropologie‘s perfect modern + vintage answer for the bride will now finally be available!  BHLDN‘s website (say it like “Beholden” – pretty catchy!) goes live on Monday and what better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day???

Robin and I were invited to an exclusive sneak peak in Philadelphia this past Wednesday.  Since the launch is on Monday – I thought I would have a BHLDN weekend for you on the blog!  The above Pinwheel Tea Dress paired with that gorgeous headpiece (exclusively designed for BHLDN by James Coviello) was my absolute favorite of the entire collection.  This short, flirty and divine wedding dress has 6-8 beautiful layers of petticoat that peek through at the bottom of the hemline.  The open neckline gives that 50′s vintage feel and yes – IT HAS POCKETS!  This dress goes for only $1400 ladies!  Look at those details on that dress!  Every single dress is handmade and with natural fabrics.

Both Robin and I were amazed by the shoes that were paired with the dress.  An exclusive special run of these shoes will be available when the website goes live.  If you want them – you better buy them immediately as you will never find them again! WHAT?  Why?  The designer Bettye Muller (who designed the shoes for BHLDN) was able to get that pretty vintage ribbon for the bows from a simple ribbon shop that ran out of the ribbon.  There is no more of it to be found…period!  HOW WONDERFUL!   I still can’t get over the fact how much thought went into this.  Every bride loves to be unique and beautiful and BHLDN has recognized this by provided scarcity of certain parts of their production.  Be unique and raring to go when that site goes live!

Just when you thought it could not get any better than the dresses and the shoes and the headpieces…it just does!  In true Anthro style, they will be providing not only shoes, accessories and dresses for ya…you will also be able to buy all sorts of decorations to accent that beautiful wedding of yours!  YUM!  They have tons of accessories and decor items that are made right here in the US.  All of the dresses, shoes and accessories that are not made in the US are made with fair wage and fair labor practices in mind.  Stay tuned tomorrow for a little write up about what to expect from the BHLDN website when it goes live and a few more of our favorite wedding gowns from the collection!
