Ways to Donate After Your Wedding

There are so many ways to donate items items after your wedding!  One of the easiest ways with the most impact is donating your wedding gown!

Brides Against Breast Cancer is a fantastic organization that will receive your wedding gown, veil and slips to resell to brides with all of the proceeds going towards this wonderful organization.  They help men and women who are losing their fight against breast calendar by granting wishes.  Click on their logo above here to see how you can donate your items!

If you are having a larger wedding, chances are you will have a lot of flowers and decor let over from your wedding.  Ask your florist if you they can transport your centerpieces to a local soup kitchen or a nursing home to brighten their day!  Offer to pay a delivery fee to offset their costs to make it easier on you as well!  You can also find a local thrift store that gives proceeds to a good a cause to donate your vases.

In regards to food – sometimes it is hard to donate food due to health concerns.  Contact your local soup kitchen to see what is legal and safe.  In most cases, your caterer will not want to do this for you.  However – if you have one of your groomsmen or bridesmaids take the food for you – it will be coming from you – not the caterer.  But be sure to check with the soup kitchen first to see what they can actually accept!

Of course – you can always donate money directly to your favorite charity!
