Making a list…checking it twice!
Now that Christmas has come and gone (pretty fast, huh?) it’s time to bring the focus back to wedding planning! The Green Is section of our Winter 2012 issue is packed with eco-finds to help you whittle down that seemingly infinite “I Do” list!
We’ve got gorgeous invites from Smock (shown above), vintage rentals from Archive Vintage, and bridal party gifts from Not for Sale and Knobstoppers! Our list of the best green wedding resources and planning tricks is endless, so settle in with the Green Is feature and get ready to check “to do’s” off that list.
Find Green Is on page 17 of the new issue!

Melanie + Eric’s Wedding in Chapel Hill
We love this fun and offbeat wedding submitted to us by Carolyn Scott Photography. Their ceremony and reception were held at the Snipes Family Farm in Chapel Hill, NC.
We are in love with the DIY signage and chocolate chip ingredient favors!
All decor was grown locally and we love the overall look and feel of the reception! Their cuisine was all vegetarian!
Being incredibly innovative, they decided to have no dancing in exchange for a reception filled with games!!!
Many congrats to Melanie and Eric for having an Eco-Beautiful Day filled with fun surprises!

Thankful….for Love!
There’s so much to be thankful for.
But there’s one wonderful thing in particular that gets an extra dose of grateful.
Love!
Every wedding kiss, starry-eyed moment and joyful smile is a reminder of how lucky we are to have love. When it comes to what none of us at Eco-Beautiful could live without, Audrey Hepburn expressed it most elequently: “The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.”

All about Desserts!
Dessert bars continue to be a fun addition to wedding receptions! If you’re planning the menu for your fall wedding’s dessert bar, think along the lines of homemade goodies-seasonal fruit pies, apple crisps, pecan tarts, warm rice pudding…the possibilities are endless.
Make your dessert bar memorable not only with the treats you serve, but also with the presentation.
This couple’s use of a vintage dresser to showcase their homemade apple pies is just adorable!
A wood table is perfect for displaying a smaller assortment of desserts.
Or use a larger piece for a more grand presentation.
Using an assortment of items to display goodies is a beautiful way to use antiques from your home. Or borrow from family and friends!
