Behind the Green Scenes of our New Issue
Green, Great Gastby-inspired glam was the concept. The Sofitel Hotel in Washington, DC was the location. Add in some eco-lovely gowns and accessories from rockin’ designers such as Rania Hautrom, Love Veils, and Winifred Bean, a gorg Elegance and Simplicity bouquet and you’ve got our beautiful Winter/Spring 2013 editorial shoot! As usual, we had a fab time creating the cover and editorial for this issue. We wanted a graceful editorial that was a beautiful as it was green. After all, that’s what our magazine is all about. Well, we’re excited to say that we’ve made it happen, and we hope you enjoyed this issue as much as we did!

Go Behind the Scenes of our Summer Issue!
The editorial shoot for our summer issue was such a blast! The weather was early summer perfection, the playlist (Adele was in heavy rotation) was rockin’, and as usual, Managing Editor Robin Fisher bought the pieces of an eco-sweet vision together like it was…a piece of cake! The creativity and energy behind this cover was evident all day with Kristy Rice of Momental Designs on set placing the finishing touches on her amazing backdrops and photographer Jennifer Hughes bringing it all to life. Such a sugar rush!
We hope you enjoyed flipping through the sweet pages of this issue as much as we did! Now it’s off to create some winter magic…

A Look Behind the Fall Scenes
The day of our cover editorial shoot at the River Farm in Alexandria, VA ROCKED-literally! The day of the shoot, the East Coast experienced an earthquake. We were a little shaken and stirred (sounds like a good martini, huh?) but our incredible team kept it together. The result was what we feel is our best yet! The hair, the makeup, the gowns, the model…the perfect blend of eco-beautiful elements to create a stunning vision bought to life by Delores Holloway of a little bit of whimsy photography.

Now…Katie’s Birthday Present
You must have seen by now the alternate dog cover for the winter issue (from Katie’s post on Christmas Eve).
Well for her birthday present (since her birthday is tomorrow) - we thought we would do a little fun post of more funny photos from behind the scenes of Dewey the dog with Stefanie our model! The bottom left hand photo is priceless of Dewey!

More Etsy Designers from Alison & Rob’s Wedding
Frankly when I saw the list from Alison of Etsy Designers at her wedding - I was amazed! We did not have enough room in the article in the Summer Issue of Eco-Beautiful to list all of them. So - I thought it was only fair that we list them here on the blog.
