A Fall Style Shoot
Inspired by the fall air and a vintage flair, photographer Erin Leigh sought to help eco brides and grooms visualize a wedding day crafted from recycled and re-purposed materials, many of which can be found in their own homes.
A vegetable garden theme is played out in the floral design and escort cards. All of the details used in the shoot—including the décor, signage, and the bride’s fascinator were all handmade. Even the location was all about the eco! The Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano, California, a non-profit, educational center focused on providing the community with practical, environmental solutions for the home.

Fall Bouquets
With the fall wedding season now underway, color palettes will begin to pop with rich colors like red, orange and shades of purple and plum.
Creating an Eco-Beautiful bouquet starts with locally-grown flowers, and the rest is all up to you. Adding some recycled fabric, like lace, to the bouquet’s handle makes it special, as does “something borrowed” like a vintage brooch or pin.
For a bride, the bouquet is her primary colored accessory.

Gardenias!
What a gorgeous flower that gardenia is! Gardenias are in season from May through July (which is a bonus for reducing your wedding’s carbon footprint, depending on where you are) and surely to make an appearance at a number of summer weddings. Since gardenias are such a robust flower, they can do it all- bouquets, boutonnières, in the hair, you name it. The gardenia is beautiful all by her lonesome, or certainly mixed in with a few fresh floral friends!
