Watching the runways of New York Fashion Week has been a blast, and it was wonderful to see a bit of bridal inspiration even in the ready to wear collections. It was definitely all about bold colors and prints, but many designers, including Ralph Lauren, infused their collections with a bit of bright white, offering a perfect contrast.

New York Fashion Week Spotlight: Monique Lhuillier
Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week is well underway, and we’re keeping our eyes on the runways for a glimpse into the collections of our fave American designers. Monique Lhuillier is at the top of that list, and her presentation was just what we expected—gorg! Even though this was a ready-to-wear collection and not traditional bridal, we definitely saw a bit of bridal beauty. A few of the dresses could certainly go from runway to aisle:

Designer Spotlight: Rebecca Schoneveld
Proving that lace does indeed have its place, bridal designer Rebecca Schoneveld handcrafts lots of lace loveliness in her Brooklyn-based design house. Her dresses are is individually cut from high quality materials, and then hand sewn. With her designs, Rebecca plays not only with fabrics, but silhouettes too to truly capture a bride’s woman’s natural beauty and movements. The end result is oh so feminine, classic and gorgeous!

Vera Wang Goes Black and White for Spring 2014
Vera Wang recently debuted her Spring 2014 collection, and it is all about the black and white! This was an interesting aesthetic for the designer—the mix of traditional silhouettes with appliques, laces and of course, the color palette.
