Real Engagement: Alice + Dave
This fun, sunny engagement shoot seemed appropriate for a sunny Friday afternoon! Alice and Dave recently moved from Sydney from Melbourne, but the hip couple ventured back to Sydney for their skyline shoot. They bought along an original brownie camera as a prop and just had a great time with each other.

Real Wedding: Tiffany + Matt
We mentioned yesterday that there was a story behind the bride’s ring in today Real Wedding feature! Well, it goes a little something like this…
While the couple were dating, the bride Tiffany, was smart to give her then boyfriend Matt a hint about her engagement ring preferences. Having been heavily involved in anti-slavery movements in college, Tiffany knew she wanted a diamond free from any ties to slavery and/or conflicts in Africa. Matt’s response? “Well, I guess I’ll just have to go mine you a diamond myself.” Tiffany laughed, but had no idea that this was exactly what Matt intended to do.
When it was time to propose, Matt researched US diamond mines, and discovered the only public diamond mine was in Arkansas. Determined to honor his girlfriend’s wishes, Matt devised a secret mission to get to the mine, which was whopping 600 mile drive across rural Arkansas and Texas from Atlanta, where he was at the time!
The good news? Matt chose a cute cherry-red smartcar for this excursion and truly went above and beyond to find the perfect ring for his bride-to-be. The (kinda) bad news? Matt’s digging through the mud didn’t yield a diamond. But, this eco-friendly fairy tale has a happy ending… he was able to purchase a diamond that had been found at the mine by a retired couple and had it set into Tiffany’s ring! Whew! What a man, and what a sweet story!

Here’s a lovely engagement shoot to enjoy as you head into the weekend!
Brilane and Daniel chose the beautiful apple country of Oak Glen, California as the backdrop for their engagement photos and the setting could not have been more beautiful. We love when a couple’s love is just allowed to naturally shine!

Real Wedding: Rebecca + Eli
Rebecca and Eli wanted a wedding that was big on love, but small in terms of their carbon footprint. So, for starters, they chose the groom’s parents’ home as their wedding venue. Using local vendors and opting for all digital photography were just two additional ways this couple kept their intimate wedding celebration green.
The mini chalkboards to capture their guest’s best wishes were adorable!
