Heading to New York Bridal Market 2013
Our Managing Editor and resident style authority, Robin Fisher, will be heading to NYC for Bridal Market in a few days and we can’t wait to see what eco-stylish bridal loveliness she finds there. When it comes to bridal fashion, this is the event of the season, with aisles and runways filled with the best designs for Spring 2014.
Follow Robin on Instagram and Twitter @polishedimage to go behind the scenes with her this weekend. Some of our fave eco designers, like Claire Pettibone, Romona Keveza, Monique Lhuillier and Rafael Cenomo have been spotted at past Markets, so stay tuned!

The Not So LBD
Last season, the black gown made quite a few appearances on bridal fashion runways. While the new collections we’ve seen seem to be focused on the more classic whites and ivorys, we have to admit that the boldness of the black gown was hot!
The black gowns created by bridal designers such as Vera Wang, Ines Di Santo, and Romona Keveza give the alternative bride the best of both worlds—classic designs and silhouettes but a color that is undeniably unique. So edgy, especially for the fall and winter bride.
If you opt for a not so little black dress for your Eco-Beautiful wedding day, we’d love to see!

Blue Monday
Blue Mondays are not a bad at all when filled with lots of Eco-Beautiful!
If blue is included in your wedding color palette or you just need that blue something, be inspired by this collection of blues.
A bold bride can don a blue gown from one of our fave American designers, or a lovely blue shoe beneath your wintry white gown will do the trick too.
Include your groom in the fun too with a blue tie, and add something blue into your décor with your fresh florals or vintage furniture rentals.
When it comes to blues, the sky’s the limit!

Brides in Bloom
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
- Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
Weddings and flowers go together like chocolate and cake! Flowers symbolize beauty (isn’t every bride a stunner?) and, since a woman almost always carries a bouquet down the aisle, are inexorably linked to brides.
Flowers fresh from the garden are lovely, but lasting details inspired by them are marvelous! A wedding gown awash in blooms and fluttering petals paired with a small or keepsake bouquet never fails to take our breath away.
