Organic India has come out with a micro-site called Call to Shine which is all about spreading the word about sustainable communities through fair-market agriculture with events and even meditation mp3’s for you!
Organic India has been producing some of the world’s best organic teas for years. My favorite variety is the Tulsi Pomegranate Green Tea. It has a natural sweetness to it without sugar. Pretty amazing! I recommend buying a few boxes and using them at your wedding instead of the standard tea most caterers use (most are not fair trade or certified organic - you need to ask your caterer).

Pelcor Happiness!
No matter what time of the year it is - you always need totes! Pelcor has come up with the most versatile bag that I absolutely adore! Their Sunshine tote is perfect for so many things - but especially a bride on the go or on her honeymoon. It comes in these colors above and super cute vibrant pink too.
I have been using the tote as my purse, diaper bag and grocery store tote all in one. It is heavy duty and made with cork and sustainable materials. Cork has been tested over time to have a durability and lifetime span of 250-350 years. I adore this bag and Robin has even commented on it as I rarely ever use purses. This one has made the switch for me!
I love Pelcor as it is a company with a vision that includes design, innovation and sustainability. They even contribute to the renewal of the Portuguese cork oak forests. The Pelcor brand and its accessories are iconic in Portugal and their style and sustainability spans across the globe. Blue Plate Chicago Does It Green
The first and only certified green caterer in Chicago, Blue Plate Chicago has taken it green with everything from product, to preparation, to the plate.
We love their concept of “conscious-catering”- meaning they are committed to protecting the community with eco-friendly practices and giving back.
Their menus feature seasonal and sustainable selections for brides and grooms, without sacrificing creativity (how do Risotto Pillows or Sweet Corn and Coconut Soup sound?) and of course taste! YUM!
Speaking of yummy, Blue Plate Chicago is known for its sweets stations, which guests are sure to love!
They combine their delicious desserts with some of your favorite furniture and other items from home to create Eco-Beautiful presentations for your guests!
In case you aren’t convinced, think Nutella and Banana Turnovers…Mocha Crème Brulees…Mini Peanut Butter and Jelly Truffles. Chicago brides…are you there yet?

Laura + Joel’s Rustic Ranch Wedding
We love this charming and rustic wedding submitted to us by Andi Hatch Photography! Set in Muir Beach near the Bay Area in CA, their secluded ceremony (right on a cliff overlooking the Pacific) was absolutely breathtaking!
Slide Ranch is a non-profit that provides programs and summer camps to over 8,000 Bay Area residents! From learning about farm life and gardening to understanding all about the sustainable use of natural resources, this place could not be any greener!

All of the food was produced locally or right from Slide Ranch!
The sunflowers for her bouquet and centerpieces were mostly from Laura’s own garden!
This rustic wedding was complete with one of Slide Ranch’s Yurt for their reception and blue grass band, The Stairwell Sisters!
