Meet Your Cloud Parade!
We love bringing you new resources to make wedding planning easier, more fun and of course, as eco-friendly as possible. So we super excited to introduce you to Your Cloud Parade!
Your Cloud Parade is the first HIP online marketplace where a wedding couple can design and shop for their wedding all in one spot. On their site, couples can comb through galleries of inspiration for everything from wedding attire to hair and accessories to décor. All of your images and ideas are captured together in a cloud, so you can refer back to them. And what’s oh so cool about Your Cloud Parade is once you’ve created your perfect wedding cloud, you can easily purchase all of the items in it in one fell swoop! Pretty awesome, huh?
We recently had a chance to chat with Your Cloud Parade‘s Creative Director, Candice, to learn more about this wonderfully dreamy site, and why it’s a slice of wedding heaven.
EBW: How can a bride use Your Cloud Parade to help plan a unique wedding day?
CP: Your Cloud Parade is designed to be a one-stop shop of that hip bride. Brides can use our “clouds” (which is our version of inspiration boards) and shop the marketplace all in one spot. That is actually how the vision of CP was born. I had to watch my sister plan her wedding years ago and it seemed like we had to have 20 or more websites open just to find the perfect wedding garland.
EBW: Is Your Cloud Parade geared towards a particular wedding style (e.g., Rustic Chic, Bohemian, Vintage Inspired, etc.) or bride?
CP: Your Cloud Parade put a big push into being the first hip and trendy online marketplace where a wedding couple can shop and design their wedding all in one place. Since our marketplace is curated we make sure that all of the hundreds of individual shops fit the Your Cloud Parade Brand. This ensures that when a wedding couple is shopping the site, it’s much easier to find that awesome item they are looking for, compared to shifting through a bunch of items.
EBW: How can Your Cloud Parade make wedding planning more eco-friendly?
CP: Right now one of the cool aspects of the Your Cloud Parade Marketplace is that most of the vendors are making their own items. This means that items are made locally and not mass produced in other countries.

EBW: What is your favorite color palette for weddings this season?
CP: I personally love ombre blues and gold. Think, light blue, navy blue, shades of teals, etc… then top it off with some golds! I die! I love it soooo much.
Alright Eco-Beautifuls, it’s time to start clouding! We know you’ll have a ball. So go ahead and get started, and be sure to check out our blog tomorrow for a super fun surprise for you thanks to the girls at Your Cloud Parade!

Top 5 Ideas for an Eco-Friendly Wedding in Paris with Kim Petyt!
Our favorite Parisian wedding planner extraordinaire, Kim Petyt, has released her first book The Paris Wedding ! The book is a full-color, idea-packed, go-to guide for globally-minded trendsetters who are in love with the style and romance of Paris, and is now available online and at booksellers nationwide. Simply gorgeous!
Kim chose Eco-Beautiful Weddings as one of her stops on her whirlwind book tour, and she’s our guest today here on the blog! This post is just a glimpse of the goodness in her new book. So without further ado, here’s the fabulous Kim Petyt!
Top 5 Ideas for an Eco-Friendly Wedding in Paris
So you and your trend-setting betrothed have decided to have a destination wedding. More than that, you’ve decided on an eco-friendly destination wedding. You’ve e-mailed or hand delivered your recycled paper invitations. You’ve registered with World Wildlife Fund Weddings and Celebrations rather than your local “Meat Hooks, Marbles & More”. You’ve even offset the amount of carbon emissions used to fly you and your guests to Paris by donating money to help build wind turbines in India. But why should your eco-wedding stop there?
A lot of people feel that planning a regular destination wedding is hard enough. The thought of trying to make it eco-friendly as well is just too much. In fact, with a little time online, you’ll find that there are plenty of ways that you can incorporate green or eco-conscious elements into a destination wedding. For instance, here are my top five ideas for a green or eco- friendly wedding in Paris:
1. Purchase or have a wedding dress custom created that uses all-natural, earth-friendly fibers. Elsa Gary is a French designer whose natural bridal collections include materials like silk, bamboo, hemp, soya and maize.
2. Have your wedding meal prepared by an organic French caterer. Ethiques et Toques is an organic catering company servicing Paris, Lyon and Blois.
3. Rather than tossing birdseed or blowing bubbles at the end of your ceremony, why not follow a wedding tradition from the South of France and have your guests shower you with handfuls of lavender, like those sold in packets from Pluie de Lavande?
4. Thank your guests with a sweet French wedding favor: a little sachet of organic hard candy or lollipops from La Butinerie.
5. Toast your nuptials with a glass of organic champagne: Jean-Pierre Fleury and Larmandier-Bernier are two to try.
Kimberley Petyt is an American wedding planner in Paris, a French wedding expert and writes the popular blog parisian party: tales of an american wedding planner in paris. Kim has been featured in print publications such as Real Simple Weddings, LA Times, Get Married Magazine, Essence Magazine, Eco-Beautiful Weddings, Cosmopolitan China, France Magazine and the New York Times. Introducing the Rustic Wedding Guide!
Incorporating beautiful country venues, lots of wood elements and vintage décor, the rustic chic theme continues to be popular for weddings this year. If you are that bride, you’ll be excited to learn that one of the best resources for inspiration, the Rustic Wedding Chic blog, has expanded to include the Rustic Wedding Guide. This online resource enables you to easily locate venues and vendors (like Wood You Sign It) to help you pull off your rustic chic celebration with ease. In addition to photos and contact information for each vendor, the guide will also provide comments from other brides so you can share their insight too.
We featured Rustic Wedding Chic in our Summer/Fall 2012 issue, so you can check out that issue too for some great repurposing ideas for your day!
