Wedding Tech Tidbits
Leveraging the latest technology makes greening your wedding day much easier. Going digital can eliminate the waste of paper for everything from stationery to napkins to film. Here are two new options that will make your Eco-Beautiful day a little more tech-savvy and green:
Paperless Post
Paperless Save the Dates are a great way to kickoff your green wedding celebration. Thanks to companies such as Paperless Post, you aren’t limited to a handful of standardized templates that don’t reflect your personal style. The company launched its new wedding collection in January, complete with an address collector feature that will compile your guest’s addresses to make invitation mailings much easier.
WedPics
Smartphones have enabled guests to play photographer and capture wedding memories and moments. So why not gather those pictures all in one place so you and your groom can enjoy too? The WedPics app eliminates the need for those disposable cameras at every reception table so it cuts down on wedding waste. The app is free and once pics are uploaded, they can be shared on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. WedPics is an innovative and green way to add to the wedding fun with friends and family!
What other ways are you using technology to green your day? We’d love to hear about it here on the blog!

Eco-Fashion in the Spotlight
Be it on the wedding aisle or the red carpet, we love it when eco-fashion makes a glamourous appearance! Actresses Helen Hunt and Naomie Harris both opted for green gowns at the recent Oscars. Helen’s beautiful blue gown was actually from a H&M collection, while Naomie’s gold gown was an original design by art student Michael Badger. The designer used organic silk crepe and dyes made from chamomile and goldenrod. The dress was adorned with vintage glass beads, recycled zippers and candy wrappers!
Both of these silhouettes would make lovely wedding gowns in traditional white, ivory or blush. But for the bold bride, why not hit the aisle in the colored versions?
