Favorite Favors
Favors are a sweet way to say “thank you” to all the loved ones who travel from near and far to celebrate your wedding. With that in mind, it’s easy to get creative…and eco-friendly.
After a long night of dancing, edible gifts are always a big hit and thoughtful, useful mementos almost never get left behind. Who wouldn’t want a sweet mug for their morning coffee or yummy jam to spread on toast? Whatever you choose, use your heart and think green… guests will be touched and the environment will be grateful!

Andrea + Nick’s Wedding on Mackinac Island in Michigan
We love this intimate wedding at on Mackinac Island, Michigan submitted to us by Paul Retherford! One of the easiest ways to keep your wedding eco-friendly is to keep it small! They only had 24 guests!
The beautiful wedding ceremony and reception were held historic Island House Hotel. Their simple and beautiful floral designs were designed by Weber’s Floral Design!
Using reusable candles made with seashells for centerpieces were an easy, simple and low impact decor item for their eco-chic wedding. The bride and groom were whisked away at the end by the island’s beautiful Gough Carriages!
Congrats to Andrea+ Nick!

Ice Cream Dreamin’
Nothing says it’s time to party like ice cream!
For us, ice cream is flavored with nostalgia for summer’s pied piper – the Good Humor Ice Cream truck. Whether in elegant little sundaes or whimsical sandwiches, this sweet treat is a perfect pairing for the joy and sentimentality of weddings. For your celebration’s frosty treats, go green by sourcing it from local creameries and asking for organic ingredients!

Phil Collen Backstage
We were thrilled to be able to showcase Phil Collen’s beautiful eco-friendly and vegan wedding to Helen Simmons in our fall issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings last year. Just so happened that Def Leppard was in town this past weekend and Phil and Helen invited us to come backstage to finally meet them! I took along amazing wedding gown designer Stephanie Ward of Punk Rock Bride as she is also a big fan of Def Leppard! As a thank you, I brought them a print copy of the Fall 2010 issue!
Thanks again to Phil and Helen – it was a rockin’ time!
(Yes that is my 21 week preggo belly!!!)
