Eco-Friendly Reception Style Shoot

We were so excited to see this Style Shoot from Melissa Musgrove , Nico Designs and Classic Party Rentals that has handmade and vintage items throughout making it Eco-Beautiful! Nico’s inspiration came from the 5th Anniversary gift of wood - and since we are all about Anniversaries right now with our 1st one coming up - we could not resist showing you this right before we turn 1!

From eclectic and whimsical vintage decor…

to playful natural elements.

The tablescape consisted of thrift store napkin rings, corkboard chargers, handmade wooden blocks for place cards along with vintage silverware.

Nico used a colorful Tuscan/Autumnal color scheme with rich and vibrant floral designs that included roses, hydrangea, cymbidium orchids, tulips, coxcomb, billy balls, dried lotus pods and other wildflowers sprinkled throughout the entire “reception”.

The eco-friendly and rustic (but glamorous) design sparks inspiration for any couple looking for a long tablescape complete with hanging decor!

We loved the use of vintage books, wooden candle holders and fruit throughout the photo shoot! Tell us how you are using wood and vintage elements for your wedding day!

Happy Weekend!

Eco-Beautiful Weddings in Brides Magazine

We are so excited to see our name in the current issue of Brides Magazine! We were mentioned alongside Jennifer’s Earth-Friendly Wedding Blog and Tracy’s Recycled Bride blog. Not to mention a couple pages after us came our green friend Dana LaRue from the Broke-Ass Bride (or AKA the Green-Ass Bride here in Eco-Beautiful Land) as she gave some great money-savings tips (and some were green too)! Check out the article here:

Happy Greening Everyone! And a big hugs and thanks to wonderful editors over at Brides!

Polli Designer Maja Rose’s Wedding in Australia

Today’s featured wedding is all about Designer Maja Rose from Polli. Best known for her sustainable creative decor and jewelry design. Although they were married in Australia at The Silos in Jaspers Brush, the wedding really celebrated her Danish heritage.

We were in invitation heaven when we saw the design that was inspired by her Tandem Bicycle necklace pendant! (ADORABLE AND BEAUTIFUL ALL WRAPPED TOGETHER!!!)

Here is Tess with Maja - the co-designers at Polli! They must have had so much fun together planning this wedding!

The Silos made such a beautiful backdrop for the wedding - which is also a functioning vineyard!

Now on to the beautiful and delicious Danish details!

The Danish hearts were handmade by Maja’s mum and used as table decor, place card holders and to hold a piece of Kransekage (which is the Danish Wedding Cake pictured below).

The Kransekage designed by Jeska Bakery was made into the shape of a “Horn of Plenty” with little cakes and chocolates cascading from the horn. The almond cake is typically made in rings and then assembled to form a horn or a tower shape.

Maja and Phil’s hand carved wooden Danish spoons are a tradition dating back centuries. Newlyweds would normally eat soup with the spoons - but Maja and Phil voted for ice cream due to the heat!

A beautiful day filled with personal touches with eco-design!

Congratulations to Maja and Phil!

Beautiful Paperless Invitations from Glo

We have seen a lot of online invitation companies pop up over the past year…but we really love Glo!

They are not just about creating and designing an online invitation for you - but helping you start to finish with RSVP management and website creation for a complete online and paperless option for your wedding!

Katie loved these designs in particular - but they have quite an array!

Keep in mind when you plan on doing online invitations that you may have to purchase at least 25 paper invitations for those that are simply not web savvy!

Check out their site - by clicking here!
